Wild Lights at the Louisville Zoo
A new collection of handcrafted Chinese lantern displays blending centuries-old artistry with imaginative design across four themed worlds.
About This Event
Wild Lights at the Louisville Zoo transforms the zoo after dark with thousands of illuminated silk lantern sculptures — towering dragons, glowing animal portraits, dazzling light tunnels, and immersive themed zones. The 2026 festival is the biggest yet: Bigger. Bolder. Brighter. Journey through four themed areas: Magical Forest, Magical Ocean, Pre-Historic Animals, and Wondrous Asia. Nearly all displays are newly created for 2026. Magic performances by Aaron Harp on select dates. Rain-or-shine event. Select zoo animals viewable until approximately 8:30 PM.
